Hawks and Owls

The meadows create a perfect breeding habitat for small mammals and insects, which provide ample prey for our breeding pair of Barn Owls which nest in the building's structure. We count ourselves very fortunate that this rare and protected species (along with Tawny and Little Owls) has chosen Acton Court as its home. Other indigenous species of birds of prey are also regular visitors.

We are associated with The Hawk and Owl Trust who undertake voluntary work at Acton Court and conduct the evening Owl Prowls during the Summer.
