The House and Grounds will be open for self-guided audio tours from Wednesday 27 May to Saturday 27 June 2026.*
Admission to Acton Court gives access to the grounds, the Royal Apartments, the ground floor area and any activities that may be taking place on the day. Audio guides plus visual and written information will be provided.
*Closed Mondays & Tuesdays.

Self-guided audio tours
Learn the history of Acton Court at your own pace with our audio guides. There will be a selection of tours available, each with a different perspective.
Tour activities
There will be daily activities and demonstrations, free to ticket holders, for more information follow the link below.

Tour dates
The House and Grounds will be open for self-guided audio tours from Wednesday 27 May to Saturday 27 June 2026. Closed Mondays & Tuesdays.
Numbers are limited – book early to avoid disappointment.
Admission times: There will be two time slots
10:30 -13:00 and
14:00 -16:30
Please arrive within the first hour of your slot.
Admission prices: Adult £13.70 (includes Eventbrite booking fee). Children, 11 and under, by arrangement, email info@actoncourt.com.
The tours
There are three audio tours recorded by Acton Court’s professional guides.
Tour 1: A walk around the outside of Acton Court with Angela Nutbrown
This tour covers information about the standing building, grounds and garden.
Tour 2: A visit to the King’s Rooms with Rodger Fowler
Rodger will guide you through the three rooms that were built especially for the visit of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn in 1535. You will also have access to some of the downstairs rooms.
Tour 3: Theatrical tour: Lady Joan Poyntz as written and told by Brenda Page
The wife of Sir Nicholas Poyntz invites you to visit her home and share memories of her family and the people they knew through the momentous reigns of four of the Tudor monarchs, from Henry VIII to Elizabeth I.

Pick up your sanitised audio guide handset from reception on arrival - free with your admission. You can choose which tours you wish to follow during your time slot.
Once you've finished your tours, please return the handsets to reception. They will be cleaned thoroughly ready for the next user.

Historic Houses Members
Acton Court belongs to Historic Houses and welcomes members. Your membership card entitles you to visit the house and grounds. Historic House members can enquire about booking a visit here.

Amenities
There is free parking and partial access for disabled visitors.
Light refreshments are available on site: tea, coffee, soft drinks, ice cream and a wide selection of cakes and pastries, including gluten free options.

Virtual tour
