AVON COUNTRY MARKET
When Acton Court first opened to the public in 2001, we were told that the most important thing would be the teas. We were lucky to be put in touch with Sue Gawler (below right) and she organised Avon Country Markets to supply most of our refreshments. It was a great success and we have worked with the WI members since 2001. Our main local cake maker, Dina Meredith, retired in 2019 and we are now sourcing most of our cakes and biscuits locally from The Cottage Bakery and Frome Valley Farm Shop. We are still selling WI jams, preserves and biscuits for Avon Country Markets and some of the ladies run a stall at special events.
